Daffodil Day / Deň narcisov 2008

Tomorrow you can again (like each year in the beginnig of April) meet collectors from Cancer Society (Liga proti rakovine) on the streets of Slovakia towns. It will be 12th Daffodil Day here in Slovakia.Young people, students and scouts will be exchanging small yellow badge in shape of daffodil against small voluntary contribution in favour of oncologic patients.
Blogged in 2006 and 2007.

Hi, I'm a spanish student living in Bratislava. I met lots of people with these small flowers around, and hopefully they could explain to me half in english half in slovak what was this day for.
I'm amazed and I really think we should copy the idea in other countries to fight against this sickness.
I hope this year we reach a higher amount than last year!

Hi Jako,

You delighted us by making my wife's painting your favorite at

Seeing your blog I can understand now that you have made your seal, like a Japanese Hanko, by your self, and also how this great yellow flower painting was printed and the print done. Great work. Thanks for sharing.
